Cards production and printing

All the cards are manufactured according to ISO standards, usually in a standard size of 85×54 mm / 0.4 to 1 mm thickness. There is a variety of different materials to be selected, the most widespread are certainly PVC cards, PC-polycarbonate cards for personal identification documents, but there are also Bio-PVC cards, PET cards and different kinds of paper cards available. You can choose among different printing techniques as well, starting with thermal retranfer or digital card printing for small quantities of up to 500 cards, as well as offset card printing for larger quantities.

Card security elements

Various (security) elements provide appropriate levels of safety and security, facilitate operations and enable faster identification and better analytics. Simplified access to data contributes to more efficient management of data in a variety of loyalty software or CRM systems.
Chip, Barcode, QR code, magnetic stripe, and various security features for protection from counterfeiting can be used. While there is a variety of security features, UV printing is most commonly used, whereby the pre-printed graphic element is only visible under UV light. Also frequently used is hologram (hot stamping foil) which could be found on most credit cards (eg. Visa or Mastercard). Further security features include OVI printing, IR printing, CLI-MLI laser printing and microprint.

Standard cards

Chip cards further differ depending on the purpose, performance and technological design. Advanced form of chip cards allow for storage of data and certificates, as well data processing and performing cryptographic functions directly on the card. Cards with contact chips are most commonly used in the banking and telecommunications sectors, due to their high level of protection required to ensure safe transactions.

Contactless cards – RFID cards, NFC cards

The contactless cards are primarily used for short distance identification, such as prepaid card, ski passes, access management cards (for premises, offices, garage or similar entries control). They are all equipped with a microprocessor chip and an antenna, thus no physical contact is required for communication with the card-reader. They are suitable for usage in variety of RFID/NFC applications. Hybrid cards are also available, combining several technologies. This type of cards can thus be fitted with a contact and contactless chips, which are mutually interconnected.
Dual-interface cards have only one smart chip built-in, which allows access either through contact chip or using contactless antenna.
